Record number of JUMP signups in May
The number of families signing up for Spark Foundation’s JUMP internet service through a DIAA delivery partner during May 2019 reached a record high of 366, 100 more than any previous month. One third of all the signups came through just three partners:
- Kaitaia Te Ahu Library (41)
- Glen Innes Library, Auckland (40)
- Whanganui District Libraries (38)
This is a stunning achievement for these three libraries and the other 54 partners who signed up families during May.
JUMP provides an affordable internet connection for families with children of any age up to 18. Families pay just $10 for 30GB of data, and as a pre-pay service, families can top up their accounts at any time. There are no sign up costs; the wireless modem and the first 30GB of data are funded by Spark Foundation. Families must then pay a minimum of $10 every 30 days for a new 30GB data. There are no early termination fees; families simply return their modems to their local JUMP provider if they no longer want to use it.
